President
Benigno Aquino III signed last August 20, 2015 Proclamation No. 1105, s. 2015 declaring Philippine Holidays
for calendar year 2016, categorized into Regular Holidays, Special Non-working days
and Special Holidays.
And by next year, Filipinos can look forward to long weekends on the following
dates: January 1 - 3, February 6 - 8, March 24 - 27, August 27 - 29,
October 29 - November 1, and December 30, 2016 - January 2, 2017
The proclamations declaring national holidays for the observance of
Eid'l Fitr and Eidul Adha shall be issued after their approximate dates
have been determined in accordance with the Islamic calendar.
