Naguilian 9th Basi Festival & Global Reunion 2015

An inland municipality in the coastal province of La Union, purely an agricultural with flourishing economic activities to define the Municipality of Naguilian dubbed as the "Home of the Original Basi" of the Ilocandia region and to the rest of the country, where no one can beat the unique taste of the Basi Wine. As part of the annual celebration it features its One-Town-One-Product (OTOP) which is the Basi - an organic sugarcane wine derived from extracted sugarcane juice from the raw materials process and fermented for about 6 to 12 months having an aroma and smooth taste of the basi wine through its organic ingredients  such as yeast, duhat bark and guava leaves.


With the annual celebration it showcases the town's agricultural produced being displayed through the agricultural tourism and trade fair. Streetdancing just like any other town fiestas, drum and lyre competition as well as the dancesport and cheerdance are major events for competing schools in addition to sports competition like the basketball and volleyball for both men and women. Rabii Ti Umili or the so called People's Night are being held for merriment joining the cheers for basi wines in the air, dancing and among other activities. Miss Basi Festival showcase the hidden beauty of Naguilianons, the most coveted title among the beautiful ladies from the thirty seven barangays.
