By Authority of the President, Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea signed last August 16, 2016 Proclamation No. 50, s. 2016 declaring Philippine Holidays
for Calendar year 2017, categorized into Regular Holidays, Special Non-working days
and Special Holidays.
And by next year, Filipinos can look forward to long weekends on the following
dates: January 1 - 2, April 13 - 16, April 29 - May 1, June 10 - 12, August 19 - 21, August 26 - 28,
October 31 - November 1, and December 30, 2016 - January 2, 2018.
The proclamations declaring national holidays for the observance of
Eid'l Fitr and Eidul Adha shall be issued after their approximate dates
have been determined in accordance with the Islamic calendar.
