Panagbenga - Baguio Flower Festival 2013 of Baguio City, the Summer Capital of the Philippines was launched last November 5 at the Baguio City Hall grounds. The Launching of the Panagbenga 2013 with theme “A Blooming Odyssey” was graced by the City Mayor Mauricio Domogan and some city government officials. This marks the 18th flower festival at the City Hall grounds and was witness by the residents, city hall employees and various media personalities. During the event the schedule for the Panagbenga Festival 2013 was revealed. The schedule that was made public pertains only to the traditional activities being done during Panagbenga.

The celebration/festival starts on the month of February next year and shall start with Panagbenga grand parade opening featuring the Panagbenga hymn with the Ibaloi Bendian Dance cadence. The parade starts at the Panagbenga Park, down to the Session road, and the Athletic Bowl, Burnham Park. A month-long festival of Baguio City with wide array of activities that I am sure you would love to be a part of it.

On the same date, the market encounter and landscaping competition opens at Burnham Park that continues until March 3. Grand street dancing parade on February 23; and the grand float parade on February 24. This would draw many foreign and local visitors.

The “Let A Thousand Flowers Bloom” shall be on February 10 at the Melvin Jones, Burnham Park; a fluvial float parade shall also be presented at the Burnham Lake on the same day.

Session road in bloom opens on February 25 after the street dancing and float parade.

The closing ceremonies shall be at 2 p.m. on March 4 at the Athletic Bowl and be amazed with an extravagant fireworks display.

See you there @ BFF 2013 !!!
