The theme to this years celebration: "Delighting in the  Wonders of La Trinidad". The formal opening of the Strawberry Fest will be held on March 18, Sunday. The day will open with a civic parade, ecumenical service and a launching program. On the said opening day will be   the traditional  ‘Owik tan Tayao’  ritual  involving  the  butchering native pigs for thanksgiving.

Interesting information you got, how sad to say that I missed last year's event but this year the festival makes use of the theme “Sowing the Seeds of Meaningful Friendship”. It promises to not only promote strawberry products but also the rich culture of the indigenous people and their friendship with the rest of the country. here's the info. link where I saw the upcoming event this year. http://urbanmala.info/blog/?p=663
