Truly the Philippines is an Island of Festivals, anywhere you go from the north to the south, festivals are all over, it is where entertainment, enjoyment, merry-making and of course thanksgiving are all enjoined. I have been to almost half of all festivals I've known from simple dishes turned festival, wine festivals, various fruits and vegetables festivals and among others. It is where the culture and traditions showcase at it's best.
Now, one of grandest festivals of the south is the Lanzones Festival in Camiguin. Why do I want to experience and join this festival?
First, I never been to the province of Camiguin and given the chance to go there I'd be thankful. Second, I love lanzones (locally known as buahan) it's one of my all-time favorite fruits. Third, it will be awesome and amazing joining and experiencing this grandest festival as such as cultural concerts and presentations, food and trade expo, "tabo" or gathering of harvests, the pageant, and the must-watch Lanzones Festival street dancing which I heard it's totally rockin'. Fourth, it would be an eco-agri-tourism all the way to Camiguin, I could pick lanzones right from its tree that will be anew experience. Fifth, it will make me proud (Proud Pinoy) to be at this festival and that I could promote our local cultures and traditions of Camiguin nationwide so to international scene. These are my top five reasons why I want to experience and enjoy the Lanzones Festival of the province of Camiguin. I wanna be a part of the 32nd Lanzones Festival Celebration of Camiguin. And I am crossing my fingers for it.
